This handmade beaded tassel laminated bookmark features the Prayer to Our Lady of Lourdes, and has been overlayed onto an original stencil by Louise E Rule BA (Hons), and has been finished with a multi-toned light purple fade proof cord and tassel, with two 8mm round carved, and one 10mm square carved Holy Land Olive Wood beads;
The prayer on this bookmark reads:
O ever Immaculate Virgin,
Mother of mercy, health of
the sick refuge of sinners,
comfort of the afflicted, you
know my wants, my
troubles, my sufferings,
deign to cast upon me a look
of mercy. By appearing in
the Grotto of Lourdes you
were pleased to make it a
privileged sanctuary,
whence you dispense your
favours; and already many
sufferers have obtained the
cure of their infirmities,
both spiritual and corporal.
